Rosh Hashana!

This week we brought in manipulative activities for the children to practice their fine motor skills as well as hand eye coordination. They loved it to say the least. We've been sorting cutlery, using tongs to pick up apples and carefully putting pipe cleaners through a colander. The children are practicing to put their tray with the activity back on the shelf too.

Rosh Hashanah:
We introduced Rosh Hashana this week. We filled our sensory table with oats and apples.
We explored the inside of an apple and then used it to do apple stamping.
We are also becoming familiar with the Items that we use on Rosh Hashana through a matching activity. A big thanks to Rabbi Tzvi for coming in and blowing the shofar. The children are mesmerized by it. We learnt a song about shofar.

The shofar in the shul goes
Too too too x3
The shofar in the shul goes
Too too too
On rosh hashanah

Another song we learnt about apples and honey:

Apples apples
Honey honey
Is so yummy in my tummy
Apples apples
Honey honey
Yay its rosh hashanah.

Shabbat Shalom!
