This week we wrapped up our Rosh Hashanah unit.
Our friends learned about bees, flowers and honey.
We spoke about how the flowers benefit bees by providing them with the food bees need. Bees feed on nectar and pollen of flowers.
Nectar is the sweet liquid that flowers produce. Then we spoke about how bees need flowers to make honey.
Nature Walk
Our friends went on a nature walk to collect some flowers and leaves. The next day, we dried them and looked through the magnifying glass to see how they shrink up when they are dried. We then saved them for our honey bowl project.
Honey Bowl Project
We took our dried flowers and glued them with Modge Podge onto a glass bowl. Wow, they came out amazing. We can't wait to show our beautiful honey bowls to our parents and fill them with honey.
Dear parents, we would like to wish you Shana tova U’metuka.
We will see you in the 5781 year!!!
And shabbat shalom!
